Linda
Leslie
Linda Leslie practices
a soft, romantic approach to painting. In her work, intimate views
and delicacy are often balanced by splashes of light or color rendered
with impressionist strokes of the brush or knife. Most of her work
is figurative, feminine and gracefully contemplative. Her landscapes
and still life paintings engage the viewer with similar quiet presence
and dreamlike softness. Accomplished at traditional technique as
well as contemporary design, she has been studying classical figurative
painting for over 30 years. These studies include work at the Art
Students League of New York City, the National Academy in New York
and studies with Tony Ryder and David Leffel in Santa Fe.
